To create a clothing line is a question of imagination, it's all about you: what fabrics, colours, cut and generally the style you like. On the other hand, successfully launching a clothing line means it has been created, made available to the final consumer,,, and ideally they like your style.

When there's a buzz, when a new brand of clothes is welcomed by a large public, purchased and spoken about, it can decently be said that the fashion line has been successfully launched.

For a fashion line to be successful when launched, you need to have thoroughly prepared the launch.

I like the term to launch a clothing line because it sounds very similar to launching a rocket in the sky: You calculate a number of factors long in advance, create the rocket and then launch it. At the time of launching, one do not have any guarantees of anything.

When you launch your own fashion line, your personality matters, some will start small, some big.

Some will have their risk based on research, some on their gut feelings. It's important to know yourself and your market so that harmony can establish. Start a clothing line! It might be the best time of your life; it can also be very challenging and rewarding.

Tourmaline is a gem which has been popular since the days of the Roman Empire. Tourmaline belongs to the trigonal (three sided) crystal system and occurs as long, slender to thick columnar crystals that are usually triangular in cross-section. No other common mineral has three sides. This mineral group is chemically one of the most complicated groups of silicate minerals.

The wide variety of colors is caused by different elements occurring in tourmaline. Usually, iron-rich tourmalines are black to bluish-black to deep brown, while magnesium-rich varieties are brown to yellow, and lithium-rich tourmalines are practically any color: blue, green, red, yellow, pink etc. Rarely, tourmaline is colorless. Bi-colored and multicolored crystals are relatively common. Crystals may be green at one end and pink at the other, or green on the outside and pink inside; this variation is called watermelon tourmaline. Some forms of tourmaline are dichroic (they appear to change color when viewed from different directions).

In 1989, Brazilian miners discovered a unique and brightly colored variety of tourmaline. The new type of tourmaline was found in the state of Paraiba and soon became known as Paraiba tourmaline. This new find excited many with its vivid blue and green colors. These new iridescent colors were often described as "neon" since they appeared to glow.

Gemologists discovered that the vivid color of Paraiba tourmaline was due to the presence of copper. This was unlike any of the other varieties where copper is rarely if ever present. Paraiba tourmaline also often contains manganese. The interaction between copper and manganese creates the beautiful colors of this variety.

In the late 90s, copper-bearing tourmaline was found in Nigeria. This material was generally pale and less saturated than the Brazilian materials although it was much less included than the Brazilian variety. A more recent discovery from Mozambique has also produced beautiful tourmaline colored by copper, similar to the Brazilian Paraiba tourmaline. Mozambique Paraiba is often less included and has been found in larger sizes. There is a significant overlap in color and clarity with Mozambique Paraiba and Brazilian Paraiba. Some Mozambique material sells for over $12,000 per carat wholesale, which is still extremely high compared to other tourmalines.

The supply of the Mozambique variety is uncertain at this point; the consensus seems to be that there is plenty of lighter material available, but very few large stones or stones of highly saturated color. Supply will decrease with time. Meanwhile, there seems to be an increasing demand for this beautiful gem. There are usually stunning specimens available at larger gem shows. What are the differences between white gold and platinum? This is one of the most frequent questions I get in my inbox. If you are shopping for an engagement ring and know that your special lady doesn't want yellow gold, then you are left choosing between platinum and white gold. There are some major differences between the two metal, so let's have a closer look.

First, let's look at exactly white gold is. Oddly enough, it isn't actually "white". White gold is actually the same gold used in yellow gold, but is mixed with other metals such as alloy and zinc to give it a white appearance. As well, white gold is then plated with another white metal - rhodium. This is done to give it an ever whiter appearance.

White gold actually has a tinge of yellow to it (especially if mixed with nickel) or a greyish tinge (often found is mixed with palladium). When the white gold is plated with rhodium, it gets a much crisper and whiter appearance. Rhodium has properties somewhat similar to platinum, however this plating will wear off. You will need to get the white gold replated about every 12-24 months. There are some people who don't mind the natural look of white gold so they never need to get it replated, however most people prefer the whiter look. This is very inexpensive, but the ring will be out of your hands for at least a few days. Platinum gets it fame from being the most durable metal out there. Platinum is very resistant to damage - it will literally last a lifetime. It is also a dense metal which means it is heavier than white gold.

Unlike white gold, Platinum does not need to be plated with anything. You will never have to take it in for replating. It does requite polishing from time to time though, otherwise it can get a "matte" or somewhat dull look to it. Some people also feel platinum starts to get a greyish look until is is polished. Platinum is gonna cost you about three times as much as white gold. It is a rarer metal which is why you can expect to fork out more cash for it. I don't like to recommend one over the other, as it can depend on the person. In terms of looks, I think they are equally beautiful. You have to look at what is important to you.

If money is tight, stick with white gold. You will have to take it in every now and then for replating, but it really isn't that much of a bother. And don't automatically think that because it is cheaper that it isn't as "good" as platinum. It's a beautiful metal - just not quite as strong as platinum. If you want a ring that is truly going to last a lifetime(maybe you want to pass it down to future generations) I suggest going with platinum. You also won't have to worry about taking it in as often as white gold which some people find to be a huge upside.

All three of these Panerai watches have a bezel that can be turned counter clockwise with a graduated scale represented by small recessed cylinders and engraved minute track. The watches are 44 mm in diameter and 16 mm in depth and come in a carre galbe shape. This makes them quite a chunky and large watch to wear. The glass is sapphire, formed of corundum, 3.5 mm thick with a magnifying lens over the date at 3 o'clock. The glass also has anti-reflective coating. The watches come with luminescent, skeletal hour and minute hands. There is a subsidiary dial at the 3 o'clock position to hold the seconds hand. And all are water resistant to 300 meters, though you can get pieces that are water resistant to 1000 meters.

Both the PAM 00243 and the PAM 00024 come in brushed stainless steel and black rubber straps. Apart from the strap there is very little to differentiate them.

The PAM 00025 has a case made from three pieces of titanium. It also has a black Clous de Paris dial with its sub-dial decorated with circular beads. Being made from titanium this model is lighter than the other two.

The PAM 00025 is undoubtedly the most popular of the three the Luminor Submersible watches by Panerai. These beautiful watches are in vogue right now. A Review Of The Oris Carlos Coste Chronograph LE Watch

Oris really have excelled themselves this time with the introduction of the Oris Carlos Coste Chronograph LE Watch. Produced in partnership with free-diving world record holder Carlos Coste, the production of the watch has been limited to only 2,000 worldwide. I simply love this diver's watch from Oris and would love to get my hands on one.

The first thing I couldn't fail to notice was that it is a 'lefty' timepiece; the screw-down crown and pushers are located on left side of the case! After taking this in, the next thing you couldn't fail to notice is just how big it is; the size of the case is 27 mm (1.85 inches) - it's a huge chunk of metal.

The case is made of titanium, which makes it look cool and helps to keep the weight of the Carlos Coste Chronograph down. The bezel is unidirectional. The bezel looks like the bezel you get on some of the Breitling divers watches - it's kind of thinner than normal, which means that the face of the watch is larger.

The casing is perfectly complemented by the titanium bracelet. I think its nice, simple and chunky design really offsets the watches case and dial. As you'd expect with a serious diver's watch you get an extension that can be used for when you're wearing wetsuits.

This Oris watch comes with a 4.80mm sapphire crystal top glass, which is slightly domed on the outside with an anti-reflective coating on the inside. Combined with Helium valve, the watch has a diving depth of 1000 meters.

The movement - like many Oris watches - is automatic.

Like I said, this watch from Oris is strictly limited in numbers. The case back is imprinted with the logo and signature of Carlos Coste.

But it's the dial of the Oris Carlos Coste Chronograph LE Watch that really impresses. The dial is painted black with a subtle wave pattern print. The hands are chunky and they are coated in striking Superluminova dark orange. The indices and rim of the stop watch seconds dial - at the six o'clock position - are also of Superluminova dark orange.

The dial is busy but the watch gets away with it - I think because of the massive 27 mm dial. You get a display of hours and minutes at the center, a small second at the three o'clock position with day and date display at the nine o'clock position.

The titanium combined with black dial with touches of dark orange make this Oris watch visually stunning. There's no doubt that this watch is really going to be a winner for Oris.

Do I have any reservations? Not really. Some might say that the watch is a little too big for everyday wear. But, I like wearing large watches and regularly wear my Suunto Stinger watch and my Breitling Navitimer.

If there was one tiny flaw with the Oris Carlos Coste watch it could be that the rotor is red - the trademark color of Oris. It would be so cool - and would make the watch truly special - if the rotor was in orange to match the hands and indices.

This watch from Oris is really a beautiful timepiece and would definitely be a watch I'd love to have in my collection.

Nasonex (mometasone) is a prescription steroid nasal spray used to treat symptoms associated with seasonal and year-round (chronic) allergies in patients 2 years of age and older. Seasonal allergies are often caused by exposure to outdoor allergens such as grasses, weeds, and tree pollen while chronic allergies are usually caused by indoor allergens such as dust mites, mold, and pet dander.

Nasal corticosteroids are commonly regarded as the most effective type of drug for treating allergic rhinitis (also known as hay fever), even though antihistamines seem to be more popular.

In addition to treating symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes), Nasonex is the only prescription nasal spray clinically proven to help prevent most seasonal nasal allergy symptoms in patients over the age of 12 years. Nasonex is also the only drug in its class approved for children so young. Doctors recommend starting treatment with Nasonex 2 to 4 weeks before the anticipated start of the pollen season to prevent symptoms.

A Different Kind of Steroid

The steroids contained in Nasonex are not the same type of steroids taken by athletes and extreme bodybuilders. Nasal corticosteroids are sprayed directly into the nose and reduce inflammation in the mucous membranes making the area less reactive. Nasal corticosteroids also don't affect you like oral corticosteroids, which have side effects including weight gain, weakened bones and skin, and high blood pressure.

Harold Nelson, M.D., senior staff physician at National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, says that he rarely uses antihistamines because he finds nasal corticosteroid sprays to be a cheaper and more effective option for patients. He says, "There's never been any convincing evidence that there's any systemic side effect from nasal steroids."

While nasal steroids generally affect only your nasal area, some people are concerned because studies have shown that they can cause children to grow more slowly. Dr. Nelson says that this doesn't appear to be a serious issue because, "If there is any slowing, it's very transient in the first couple of months and is not continous and cumulative." In addition, most of the studies used the drug beclomethasone which is absorbed into the body more easily than other nasal corticosteroids like Nasonex.

During clinical trials of Nasonex, the most common side effects included headache, viral infection, sore throat, nose bleed, and coughing.

How to Use Nasonex

To avoid stinging, burning, and bleeding in your nose, Dr. Nelson recommends aiming the spray bottle away from the septum, the wall of cartilage that divides the nose. This works best if you hold the inhaler in one hand and spray the medicine into the opposite nostril. And if you use the spray regularly, be sure to use a dose just large enough to keep your symptoms at bay.

Together with the date disc, the hour and minute hands are driven by a tiny stepper motor. The crown is used for operating the timepiece. As expected, the halfway position allows instant date adjustments. The outermost battery-saver position may be used for interrupting the power circuit when the timepiece will not be in use for a considerable period of time.

The Patek Philippe Gondolo 4949 watch is a beautiful timepiece. Unfortunately, owning a Patek Philippe watch is beyond the financial means of most. It isn't that the company deliberately wants to keep an exclusive client base of only the rich, rather, Patek Philippe watches are made the old-fashioned way; by hand, and it is this that makes them, not only expensive, but exquisite watches.

The dial is black with white indices - there are no numerals. The sub dial at the 12 o'clock position is an additional minute hand and the hand is orange as is the main second hand. There is also an orange, unidirectional click-stop bezel. The date is displayed in a round window at the 6 o'clock position. The size of the case is 40.00 mm (1.575 inches). The watch feels large, has a nice weightiness to it and sits up well on your wrist.

The sapphire glass is slightly domed and really does complement the shape of the casing.

The black and orange leather strap really does look rather good; the orange edging especially - though how long the edging will keep its bright orange color is debatable. The strap comes with a stainless clasp; not buckle - a good safety feature. I feel the strap is its biggest problem. Leather straps fade overtime but I feel for this watch to look its best, the vivid orange color it vital.

The automatic movement is an ETA 7750 and you can see the obligatory red rotor by means of an inspection window on the back casing.

I don't usually care about the box a watch comes in; I buy watches to be worn and not as collectibles. However, the Oris Chronoris does comes in a very nice leather presentation box, complete with a second stainless steel bracelet and tool to change it over from the leather strap.

All in all, Oris have come up with a very desirable sports watch with the Chronoris. The design of the case and the black and orange combination make it a little different from any other watches on the market. One thing I'm sure about is that the Oris Chronoris won't be derided by watch critics.

Sapphires, Peridots, Rubies and Amythyst: These stones can be washed in a mixture of warm water, and mild dishwashing liquid (check the soap label to make sure that it doesn't contain softeners). Scrub the stones with a very soft brush, rinse with clean water and pat dry.

Emeralds: wash in clear room temperature water and brush gently. Air dry, do not wash in warm water or with soap.

Diamonds: diamonds must be stored separately, as they
can scratch each other. They can be cleansed in a solution of 2 parts warm water to 1 part ammonia for 3-4 minutes and rinsed with warm clean water and
patted dry with a soft clean cloth. Don't clean diamond jewelry that has other stones set into it with ammonia, as some stones are considerably more delicate
than diamonds.

Gold, White Gold, Platinum: dip in warm soapy water, rinse in clean water and pat dry, use a soft brush if more extensive cleansing is required.

Silver: Only use a commercial silver polish, or a silver polishing cloth, after polishing, ensure that all polish is removed and then softly buff to a shine.
Never use paper towels and tissues as they will scratch soft metals.
